the best clothes

O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition! [al-A'raf : 26]

erti seorang ibu...

Ibu!
Kelunak lembutanmu yang bersih
Merupakan rahmat bagi kami.
Kamu,
Merupakan kekuatan
Dan benteng agama.

Wahai,
Orang yang menghentikan penyusuan,
Anak dalam kalangan kami
Berdasarkan tauhid,
Kasih sayangmu memberi nilai
Kemampuan kami, memberi warna
Amal dan fikiran kami.

Wahai, pemangku amanah
Berdasarkan syair nyata,
Di dalam nafasmu
Terletak kehidupan agama
Berhati-hatilah melalui zaman,
Bimbing eratlah anak-anakmu.

Guidance

And the word of your Lord has been accomplished truly and justly; there is none who can change His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will lead you astray from Allah's way; they follow but conjecture and they only lie.Surely your Lord-- He best knows who goes astray from His way, and He best knows those who follow the right course. [al-An'am : 115-117]

May Allah protect us from being led astray by human actions. Human are forgetful and need a constant reminder. May all of us remain steadfast in the right path.

the battle of germs vs humans...

Another by-product my blog surfing...

Number of germs in our normal daily lives. Certainly surprised me a bit.

  • Doorknobs are dirty but on the "low side," and people should not be very worried about touching too much doorknobs and catching a cold or flu because of it.

  • Computer keyboards and telephones, on the other hand, are brimming with bacteria, and have more bacterial load than an elevator button, the handles and button on the communal microwave oven, or the office water fountain.

  • The average desk harbors 400 times more bacteria than the average toilet seat!

  • Where there are bacteria, there can be viruses, which are known to hang onto a clean and dry surface for days (!!) and to a wet surface for weeks (!!!)

  • On Public Toilets: bathroom sinks have high bacterial counts, and the dirtiest handles are urinal flush handles. Think diarrhea instead of any sexually transmitted infections (STIs) --- the most common toilet germs found are Norwalk-like viruses or caliciviruses, shigella, and salmonella --- which can all cause diarrhea.

  • "Clean laundry" is really dirty laundry. Professor Gerba says, "There is about a 10th of a gram of feces in the average pair of underwear, and you don't want to be doing your handkerchiefs with your underwear.." Uh-oh!

  • Make it a habit to wash your hands well not only before eating but AFTER eating, and also AFTER doing the laundry.

  • Accountants, bankers, teachers and doctors are the professions most highly exposed to bacteria and viruses. Surprisingly, lawyers have the least exposure.
  • This facts were revealed from a study done by a professor Charles Gerba, a microbiologist and clean water expert at the University of Arizona.

The summary I got it from here.

    reminder

Sometimes when we are used to walk following a path that only a few people travelled by, our heart may deviate little by little till we forget that we are no longer in the right path. What we assumed right could be wrong yet we may not realised it till very late. A heart that is encapsulated with thousands of black sinful acts may no longer able to receive the light of guidance from Allah SWT. Hence, the purpose of a reminder.

For, Believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened, and put (all) their trust in their Lord; [al-Anfal:2]

In this temporal world that continuously make our iman deviate from the path of truth, please continuously check our heart with the beautiful verses of Quran. Should it feel a sense of remorse and repentance following recitation of al-Quran, alhamdulillah. At least, there are a little bit of iman left in ourselves. For heart that does not feel anything from the magnificient verses of our Holy Book, only Allah true guidance can help enlighten the heart that has been forsaken by their iman.

Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide. [Az-Zumar: 23]

    looking forward ...

I had a test today. The test was.......

No comment for the test. On the other hand, there is about one month before the semester exam. This only indicates that I have lots to revise on. Knowing all those small minute creatures and what they present clinically and how to treat them. Some have common treatment and some are very specific. In the midst of all this thing, I found learning microbiology and immunology very interesting. The only thing that particularly missing is only the clinical experience.

    1...2...3...4...

    Satu... kasih nan abadi
    Tiada tandingi dia yang satu

    Dua... sayang berpanjangan
    Membawa ke syurga kasihnya ibu

    Tiga... lapar dan dahaga
    Rela berpayahan setianya ayah;

    Empat... mudah kau ketemu
    Berhati selalu beza antara
    Kasih dan kekasih

    Ibu kuingat dahulu
    Menyisir rambut ku kemas selalu
    Ayah menghantar ke sekolah
    Bergunalah ilmu bila dewasa

    Sayang dengar lagu ini
    Untuk kau sandarkan buat pedoman
    Jangan manis terus ditelan
    Pahit terus dibuang... itu bidalan
    Harus kau renungkan

    Andai kau beroleh bahagia
    Ingat itu bukan untuk selamanya
    Andai kau dalam sengsara
    Ingat itu bukan untuk selamanya
    Hidup ini sementara...(x2)

    -Aris Ariwatan-

Lagu ini banyak mengimbau kenangan silam. Ia mempunyai banyak pengajaran untuk kita hayati bersama.
